State College, PA – The Behavioral Health Alliance of Rural Pennsylvania (BHARP) and Community Care Behavioral Health Organization (CCBH) are pleased to announce that Mainstream Counseling has achieved trauma recertification for substance use disorder (SUD) following their participation in the North Central Trauma Informed Care Initiative.
The providers involved in this program have achieved expertise in trauma informed care, which involves trauma-specific treatment for individuals. They have also created a trauma informed care culture within their organization and have successfully promoted safety for staff and individuals within the program.
Dr. Lyndra Bills, Senior Medical Director, Community Care Behavioral Health Organization, stated: “Congratulations to Mainstream Counseling on their continued commitment for being a TICC provider! It is wonderful to know that they continue to support this effort for their organization, staff and clients. We know that this designation requires time, effort and a passion for making sure that being trauma informed is a part of their work every day.”
