Mental Health/Intellectual Disability Advisory Committee

The purpose of the MH/ID Committee is to provide a platform for sharing of resources, ideas, and coordination and delivery of services for individuals identified as having both a developmental disability and a mental health diagnosis. This unique population often accesses services across multiple service delivery systems.

Goals of the committee include the following:

  • To collect outcome data to look at trends with providers offering services to this population.
  • To build a resource list of community partners offering dual diagnosis treatment.
  • To gather information on resources for individuals diagnosed with Autism.

The MH/ID Advisory Committee is comprised of county personnel such as MH/ID administrators, Intellectual Disability/Autism (ID/A) program directors, Mental Health (MH) program directors, along with partners from the Office of Mental Health and Substance Use Services, the Office of Developmental Disabilities, Community Care Behavioral Health, and the Health Care Quality Units.
