Wellsboro, PA – On October 20, 2022, the Behavioral Health Alliance of Rural Pennsylvania (BHARP) and Community Care Behavioral Health Organization held a recognition ceremony in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, to celebrate Crossroads Counseling’s trauma re-certification.  This follows Crossroads’ participation in the North Central Trauma Informed Care Initiative and exemplary achievement in completing the program.

“This was a well-earned recognition of the hard work and quality services that Crossroads delivers to our residents,” said Diane Weed, the Single County Authority, or SCA, for Tioga County Human Services.

A number of people were in attendance at the ceremony for the special recognition, including Erick Coolidge, a Tioga County Commissioner.

“It was indeed my pleasure and my choice to be in attendance, that allowed an opportunity of expressing the importance of having this service in Tioga County. The collaboration that exists is extremely appreciated to the benefit of those who have need. We as a Board of Commissioners look forward to a continued working relationship between BHARP, Crossroads and Tioga County,” Coolidge said.

The providers involved in the program work to achieve expertise in trauma informed care, which involves trauma-specific treatment for individuals.  They also create a trauma informed care culture within their organization.  Additionally, one of their other goals is to successfully promote safety for staff and individuals within the program.
