Trauma-Informed Care in the Juvenile Justice System

  • This one-day training is to assist professionals and other stakeholders (juvenile justice, law enforcement, first responders, child welfare, educators, and behavioral health providers) in understanding the impact of trauma on youth development, its connection to juvenile justice, and ways to provide trauma-informed care.
  • Participants must practice in one of the 24 BHARP counties in the North Central Contract.
  • BHARP will cover the cost of the training as well as provide lunch and snacks.
  • 5 continuing education credits (CEUs) are available. The Meadows Psychiatric Center is an approved sponsor provider of continuing education to the State Board of Social Workers, Marriage & Family Therapists, and Professional Counselors. The Meadows Psychiatric Center is responsible for its CE trainings.
