State College, PA – The Behavioral Health Alliance of Rural Pennsylvania (BHARP) and Community Care Behavioral Health Organization (CCBH) are pleased to announce that Crossroads Counseling has achieved trauma certification for substance use disorder (SUD) at five locations following their participation in the North Central Trauma Informed Care Initiative.
The providers involved in this program have achieved expertise in trauma informed care (TIC), which involves trauma-specific treatment for individuals. They have also created a trauma informed care culture within their organization and have successfully promoted safety for staff and individuals within the program.
Crossroads Counseling in State College and Wellsboro are inaugural TICC sites that met all the criteria to receive the redesignation. The locations in Bellefonte, Sunbury, and Bloomsburg met the criteria and now earned the TICC designation as well.
